Carputer/DVD/HU

Anyone install a REVOSYS 7 2-DIN carputer/DVD/HU? Any installation issues on a 370Z base model?

Do you have a link to what you are talking about. Is it a double din computer or what? Never heard of it.

Ya I have read about them there a little slow but are nice if you can afford it. There more towards being a computer than being a good head unit. I have not installed one but have wanted to, to check them out. There not ipod friendly and can not rely be expanded with any add on's. Also the power wire for them I belive draws more than the factory wiring so you may have to run a wire from the battery to the new head unit.

Thanks for the infor.

Would this work on the 370Z diagnostic port in order to be able to datalog and show codes?

What size wire is needed for the power supply?

bigaudiofanat 06-27-2009 08:51 PM

The wire would have to be like 14 gauge nothing bigger. I am not sure about the diagnostic port it may work but the Z is to new for any info on if it works or not. If you want to fly me there I will be happy to set it up for you. LOL

How slow is it to boot the computer and switch between modes? Have you heard how well it sounds while playing DVD/CD or via the hard drive?

bigaudiofanat 06-29-2009 10:05 PM

Probably round the same as a normal computer if not slower.
