Is it possible to have the stock navi installed if it didn't initially come with the car? Before I bought the car, the sales man was saying that he wouldn't

Installing stock navi
Is it possible to have the stock navi installed if it didn't initially come with the car? Before I bought the car, the sales man was saying that he wouldn't recommend installing it afterwards. I'm not sure if he was trying to make me order it then to get more commission or if it's the truth. Does anyone know or has done this?
