JL XD500/3 not powering up speakers properly (only speakers or only sub at a time)
Hey there,
I recently got a new setup installed in my 2012 base: JL XD300/3 + JL C3650 + Generic Sub. I kept the stock stereo just for now until I upgrade my head unit. Anyways, about 35% of the time, when starting the car, the amp will only turn on the sub, or only the speakers. At this point I have to turn off the car, then turn it back on in order to restore sound to all the speakers. I know there was a deal on this exact setup a while back, just wondering if anyone else with a similar setup is experiencing this, or if I just have a faulty amp/equipment. :ugh2: thanks! |
I would have your amp checked out. Or it could be your inputs, how are you sending signal to your amp?

I'm not sure since I didn't install the system myself. I kept the original head unit, so I'm thinking its going from there to the amp, then from the amp to the speakers/crossovers.

xd500/3 has speaker level inputs.
Check with your installer to see if he used a speaker to line level adapter. If he did, it is not needed. Amp has a switch for hi lelvel or low level input... Check with the installer. |
Will do. Thanks!
