The OEM Navigation system is just integrated to deep into the car to just throw it in. Also, I have been through the parts pricing (for other reasons) and lets just say the prices are heavily inflated. The screen used is over $1,000 with no mounting equipment or cables.
On top of that the OEM nav has weak sound quality, and lacks in the many features many of the aftermarket units have. IMO the biggest benefit to the OEM nav is simply the clean look, but other than that it leaves much to be desired...
