You have to go to your A/V interface settings (tab 2) and change the settings to "ON" . You can also back up close to a license plate and see if you can read the plate. if you need to mirror it, you can turn the mirror on too.

Good job on the install

Ak, thanks for the help, but I believe the problem is the wire. I had read your original post and the first thing I did was enable the reverse through the AV menu. The mirror part works great, but the reverse engagement doesn't. I'm wonderig If the solid orange on that bundle in the back was not the reverse wire.

Lastly, my reception on FM is way weaker than the stock radio... When I go in to my garage I Lose all reception which I didt use to... The antenna adapter had a plug plus a blue wire that I believe is for auto- retracting antennas, so I didn't plug that one in.... Did you guys leave that one unplugged too? Have you noticed any loss of reception?

Okay on the antenna adapter that you bought there is a blue wire. That needs to be connected to the blue wire coming out of the head unit wiring harness. That tells the radio antenna to turn on. Also you have the correct wire the solid orange wire is the right one, you ran the purple with white stripe back to that and attache it to the bare wire after stripping back the insulation right? Also if you turned the interrupt on and than took your battery cable off the battery it probably reset that setting. If you still do not think you have it right take some pics and send them to me. Good Luck

My problem is trying to find a power source for my red wire coming from the camera - I was hoping to power it with a wire in the rear of the car instead of running it all the way back. Also, facing the front of the car, on the right side in the spare tire well area is a tube with a white and green wire in it. I was told the green wire is the reverse wire.

No the orange wire is what you want. Also the small wires in the rear of the car are only going to supply so much current it is much safer to get power from the red wire behind the head unit from the wring harness.

if I tap the red wire behind the radio, isn't that constant? and there fore my camera will suck power when the car is off too? Like a clock?

here is what I have so far, I hooked the purple to an orange wire on the left bundle (I saw two actually in there) and I grounded the camera ground to the chassis with a self tapping screw.

My question. The red wire coming from the camera on the right side of the car, it needs a power source. You are telling me to run the wire to the back of the radio and connect it to the red wire?

The red is accessory only power when the car is on. Yellow is constant.

Thanks for all the help big, got it on and workin - even with Reverse interrupt, and manual turn on to watch cars chase me :P

I put my camera under the bumper instead of screw into the bumper. ALso I dremel'd off the brackets on the side, and used Body shop grade 3M double sided tape, and just stuck it on a tab on the under side.

Great actually, just like AK370Z's camera I have the wire overlay for distance. The middle Yellow line matches the distance and width of where I should line things up when I'm backing. When I turn it on driving forward it's like the thing is actually on the ground. Pretty Crazy - and I love when people pull on my ***, it's fisheyed and they look like they're trying to ram me.
