bluetooth connection problem

hi everyone .. someone please help me.

I have an iphone and my salesman had paired it up with the car bluetooth for me the day I picked up my car. For some reason when I got in the car yesterday, my phone can't find my car and my car can't find my phone. My phone can pair up with my bluetooth headset with no problems. Is there anyone that can help to let me know what I need to do.

hummmm.. i dont have the factory nav unit on mine so dont know but have you looked at the owner's manual? should be in there. GL!

I don't have the factory navi unit either. A friend told me just go back to the dealer since it isn't your phone problem. It was connected for since the day I got the car but now its not connecting anymore and I have no idea why.

Just a guess, but do you have problems with your air conditioning defaulting to 75 degrees every time you start car? If so, you have the long-term-storage switch pulled out in your fusebox near left knee. Push it in, and problem might be solved.

My Bose with no nav did the same thing. Turn off bluetooth on phone , then turn it back on. Worked for me.

sailfree - idk if I have that problem. I just turn on the car and the just push the AC button when its too hot outside and it works perfectly fine.

Geoff Jones - I turned off the bluetooth on my phone and it didnt work either. I tried that like 3 times. If I delete my name off the bluetooth in car and re-do it, is there any code that I will need?

Apple mobile devices have a known issue with wireless connections. I have noticed it more with WI-FI on phones but Bluetooth is affected as well. My friends with iPhones/iPads have to disconnect, turn off wireless, turn it back on, and attempt to reconnect. Sometimes it takes 3 tries, and others a one hitter quitter. I gave up on my iPod a long time ago and only do Android devices now. Hopefully this helps you!

You might want to check for that long-term-storage switch. Then you might not have to keep pushing the AC button and you might find your bluetooth setup works and holds. Again, just guessing, but I had similar problems on arrival of vehicle and that single switch solved everything.

Noted and just fixed today also. It just re-connected by itself so I am hoping that it will stay like this and not disconnect anymore.
