Nav thinks I'm based out of LA?

Strange problem here... I got my 2012 shipped up from a dealer LA in February. Since getting the car I've noticed that no matter what settings I change, POI's and even address searches are always based around the LA area, even though I'm nowhere near it.

What I mean is, if I search for, say, Target... It'll start listing Target locations in the LA area first and I'll have to wait for quite a while for it to search near me. Same happens with street names during address entry. This happens even when I choose POI's "near me"

I don't get it. The car obviously knows where it is since the Nav works fine otherwise. Unsure why the search base is always LA.

Anyone have any ideas on how to fix it? I haven't called Nissan yet, but that's the next step.

Thanks!

Sorry this isn't much help but on my Mazda3 I have to set the "region" I am in... it is in the settings. Basically I choose my state and the surrounding ones. We prob have something similiar.

When you press the destination button, it takes you to a screen with the US atlas, Street Address, Places, etc.

Tap on the US Atlas and you can change the region. Try reading the user manual. It's amazing how some of your questions can be answered by it.

I should've mentioned... I've done that. I've also changed it to something else and back again just to be sure. Region is correct :-/
