Radio Signal
 

I installed a Kenwood DNX9980HD navi into my Z with a jl 300/4 running polk components and jl w1 8" woofers. This amp was temporary and left from an old set up. I ended up replacing the amp with a jl xd500/3.

Everything was working fine for radio reception. I unplugged the battery, swapped the amps, now the radio doesnt come in anymore. Ive tried running the antenna as a digital and analog signal. All connections are good.

Is the amp interefering with the radio signal and if so is there a way to correct this?

I think your blue wire on your antenna adapter either came loose or needs to be moved to a different radio.

Nothing behind the head unit was altered. The battery was unplugged, the cables were moved from a JL 300/4 v2 to a JL XD500/3 and it hasnt worked since. My shop has come to the conclusion that the Class D XD amp is interfering with the signal. However, he did not have any used amps around the shop he could swap in to see if it made the difference and unfortunately I dont own the 300/4 anymore.

Couldnt I accomplish this same test, unplugging the remote lead from the amp and hooking a speaker up to headunit power? Or does the amp need to be out of the vehicle.
