I would highly doubt that it can not play ipod video.
However, There is nothing saying yes or no as of right now. Alpine INE-Z928HD Navigation Receiver at Crutchfield.com

just spoke with someone from Alpine, It will do Video via Ipod iphone.
You will still need to get around parking brake procedures.
