Stock Nav?
Just curious how the stock nav holds up to the aftermarket ones out there today? Feature wise and ease of use, etc
Thanks |

I would take aftermarket over stock any day.

I'm not impressed.
There is a horrible group of settings for road speed that makes it so that the estimated time to arrival is always wrong for me. Apparently, it thinks all back roads in Georgia are 45mph, when they are in fact 55-65. And there's not much room for adjustment, since the available ranges depend on the type of road. The voice prompts auto-disable when not on major roads. Many functions take up more than one screen, those of which you cannot access unless you have stopped or have installed a bypass. My other cars have Garmin Nuvi 1490LMT GPS... and they are way better. Accuracy, functions and usability far above the unit in my 370. And they have FREE lifetime map updates and traffic. The convenience of an inclusive system is overrun by poor execution. Again, I'm not impressed... At all. |
