I didn't want to devote too much money / time to fixing it, but wanted something that sounded decent and looked nice / OEM. I ended up getting the Kenwood 319 for about $280, and some Pioneer TS-A1684R's... the result was actually FAR better than i anticipaed. It's actually better than the Dyna Audio (8 speakers) i had in my 2012 GTi... Which isnt a HUGE bar, but that was a very clean sounding system that could be turned up all the way without much distortion. Anyway, it sounds fantastic, has nice and clear Highs' / mid's, and a very surprising amount of bass.. enough so, that im going to ditch getting a small Sub (was the OG plan). Headunit installed perfectly: ![]() Link to speakers: Amazon.com: Pioneer TS-A1684R A-Series 6 1/2" 4-Way 350 Watts: Car Electronics So if anyone has the base system, and isnt a huge audio freak, but wants something that's not embarrassing, this could be your ticket. |
