Nissan 370Z Forum

My great $360 audio upgrade... have base audio? Do this!

TIP If you want even better sound go with a component set. This will also give you better imaging from where the vocals are coming from. Looks good.

Yeah for sure, i put components in my s2k's / Mazda 3... I just didn't want to have to worry about where id put the tweeters ( i guess up top, but i heard some cutting might be involved)... i kinda cheated and went with 4way speakers... which do the job for now... they don't distort when there is vocals / bass at the same time.

I do think in the future though, a sub would be nice to split the sound up a bit... i need to look into getting something small like an 8in (id want it behind the seat if possible).

Thanks for the help man.

You can cut the tweeter out of its basket and use that as a base, or create a new base from a piece of flat plastic.

For some better bass check out the kenwood stealth sub. Those things are perfect for the z.
