Thank you. No, it's a.. ready?... High definition, high brightness led backlit, capacitive multitouch double din version of a 669GL. Lol you can breath now. It is probably overkill but I won't settle for less. No issues viewing during bright daylight. The fact that the screen is recessed helps a lot.

Fantastic. Was thinking that I would have to spring for a transflective display when I get around to doing my own CarPC due to the high placement in the dash, but this has me thinking that I could get by without it and put that extra money towards other toys! Thanks!

It's obviously not as good as a transflective monitor but I don't find myself looking for angles to get around sunlight. At a little over half the price, super high resolution and capacitive touch screen it's def a good option. I cannot stand resistive touchscreens, it annoys me to have to do the same thing twice because I didn't push hard enough lol.

Ron,

How did you mount the monitor in the dash nav piece? What size screen did you mount in there?

Thanks!

The monitor is a double din 7'' screen mounted to the stock navi screen bracket.

Both the bracket and the screen mount had to be modified (cut and grind) bc I had two problems.

1. The screen was sticking out and was not letting the dash piece fit back in place. I fixed this by cutting the brackets that came attached to the LCD frame shorter.

2. The screen was not centered on the navi bezel, to fix this I had to "fish eye" the mounting holes on the stock navi bracket so I could move it to the right and make the screen centered
