Default Aux to Phone?

I have a 2009 touring with Navigation I just bought couple days back. I have searched but can't get a straight answer. Simple questions.

I noticed that my navi gives me an option for AUX,Ipod, and compact flash card. but I can't find the simple aux jack that I can plug into from my phone to the cell in order to play music. Where do you plug it in to? There is a yellow white and red inside the console but I doubt that's it correct? A normal aux jack cable will not fit into those inputs.

I don't' wanna have to buy a cd then record music on to it from my laptop only to then record it into the navi system.

Buying a flash card then buying a flash card adapter to install into your pc only to load music seems to bother me because then I'd have to do it all over again once I add or download new music......

Can't I just bluetooth music from my phone? Heard it's not possible with the 09's? Which seem crazy!
Can't find a simple Aux jack which is also Crazy!

In the center console there is a special input spot in the right upper corner facing the dash. It requires a special aux chord that comes with the car, did you happen to search the glove box for it? that is where mine was.

There is no input facing the dash here I took some pictures

The interior of the jack. You can see this won't allow USB Flash connectivity.

Yes I know the chord that comes with the car fits in that exact spot, you might not have the chord and will have to order it but that is the spot that you use.

Yup, no chord and why wouldn't they install a simple aux jack I have no idea. What type of chord is it? What's it called? And where can i get it?

I've also searched and can't find a simple way to play music from my (non-iphone) phone. I've tried an RCA adapter to 3.5 but it doesn't work. Anyone know if the cord supplied by nissan can be purchased with just a 3.5 adapter or any other options.

You just need a RCA to 3.5 cable. Then plug it into your phone and switch to the aux input and play music. The screen will be black, but music will come out of it =) I have tried it myself, If you need pictures of the cable I can put one up.

you also have with the nav system the ability to load a cd or the flash card and burn CD onto the harddrive and play from there. you can also use a ipod with the cable that everyone is talking about. that cable will also work with the iphone to play music through as well. All of this information is in the owners manual on how to do this. If you have questions feel free to pm me and I can walk you through the steps if you dont have the manual.

Thanks. The RCA to 3.5 adapter I have has two male RCA connections, I can't get it to play music. Are you saying to use a single RCA to 3.5?

That's what I have. When I plugged it in the screen said ipod not connected. I played with it some more and pushed the aux button until the screen just said aux and WOW music started playing. Thanks for your help, getting this to work made my day.

This is what I purchased but it had an aux connector on the opposite side of the male connectors instead. So it went straignt into my android phone.

I have heard about bluetooth devices you can also hook up. Any advice on those? I've been trying to locate them but can't seem to find any.
