windows

I just got back from the local car audio place after they installed a new radio in my Z. My windows crank down a bit when you open the door as usual but they no longer crank back up so my windows have cracks in them when i open the doors. Yes i can crank them back up manually but id like it to work on its own. The guy mentioned something about using a maxima wiring harness for the radio and he changed out the door speakers and added 3 inch speakers behind the seats. Anyone have any issues with this or maybe know the cause? I do plan on going back to the shop tomorrow but chances are they wont know how to fix it.

ok some of you probably allready know this but i figured out the problem. Aparently after the battery was detached the auto roll down feature got jacked up. To clarify my window was going down when i opened the door but not rolling back up and closing the lil crack it made. Aparently you roll the window all the way down and hold the button as it goes down, then bring it back up and keeping your finger pulling up. As the window stops when it is all the way up continue to hold it for 3 seconds. I guess this resets the motor somehow. This was almost a problem for me with a bad storm aproaching i had no way to keep my windows up without staying inside the car. Which is really not a big deal because i love my Z.

It's pretty good to know they have a "safety feature" for such a problem....I'll be sure to keep that in mind if ever I have the same issue before panicking.

Glad you were able to resolve the issue before the storms came, too...that could have been much worse!
