I have seen some Viper Alarm Systems with electric starts that work from your smart phone.... but have not seen a mod for the OEM fob on a 370z

Yeah the Viper app is nice. It will even send you an alert to your cell phone when your car alarm is set off!

There is a way to add-on remote start to your factory remote. It will be wired in with your door locks and set up so that after you press lock three times the car will start. This will however had no security features or anything else simply remote start. Only weird thing to remember when having this done is that that the range isnt anywhere near as good as aftermarket remotes and it will also work from any of the door lock switches in the car.

I don't think you can upload photos from an iPhone nor an iPad. I haven't figure that out yet. But I YouTube videos and a lot people say the kenwood DDX719 is the best one out as of now. GPS, iPod controls, Bluetooth, input for backup cam and etc. I like the look of it but i am not sure if it really is the best one out.

i take that back you can do security with factory add-on remote start all controlled from factory remote but make sure you installer is competent because it will be a fairly complicated install

If your in NY I would look for a head unit with a removable face plate. Not many out there but one is from JVC, I would look into that also kenwood and alpine get my votes.
Usually with remote starts that use stock key-less entry units. You have to do a special combo in order for the aftermarket system to realize that you want to start the car. They are much harder to setup than just using a aftermarket fob. It is sad that even with getting a whole aftermarket system you still need to carry around the stock fob so the car knows when you get in.

Just get one of the smart start systems, most good brands of remote starters are now compatible with it. then you just use your phone to start the car.
Viper, autostart, astro start, ...all have it. |
