Rear speakers for surround sound in non stock location?
So I just got my Z and am starting to think about what I want to do for my audio setup. I primarily listen to dvd-a and dts cd's and prefer having a 5.1 setup but I have a feeling the stock speaker locations are going to leave a lot to be desired...not to mention 3.5" doesn't leave a lot of wiggle room for decent speaker options regardless.
Has anyone successfully relocated rear speakers elsewhere in the hatch, and if so, where? I'm contemplating fiberglassing some custom pods for the corners of the hatch near the taillights, but I'm not yet completely convinced that this is going to be the optimal location. Searching the forum hasn't revealed much useful information. I get it that given the size of the Z many here talk up the virtues of a front stage only stereo setup but I'd like to take it a step further considering my primary listening sources. Thanks in advance guys. Any ideas are much appreciated. |
