The base does not have rear speakers at all, yes you would have to run new wires AND install new speakers in order to have sound in the rear. I

The base does not have rear speakers at all, yes you would have to run new wires AND install new speakers in order to have sound in the rear. I personally do not recommend it. "Search rear speakers"
