Subwoofer crackle

My 12" JL12w3 makes a slight crackle sound every now and then when I start the car. It plays perfectly fine, but every now and then it makes a crackling sound for a split second after starting my car. Any ideas?

Sounds like your getting a "POP" sent through your signal wire.

You may want to check your grounds, or invest in one of these.
