Finished all the panels in the car. http://i1116.photobucket.com/albums/...z/P2280578.jpg http://i1116.photobucket.com/albums/...z/P2280575.jpg Waiting now on some LED lights for the amp rack and need to dynamat the trunk lid, maybe even use some spray foam cause the trunk lid vibrates from so much bass. |

Beautiful, beautiful work. How hard is it to make those types of enclosures without any experience? Would it be a complete waste of time and I should go to a car audio shop, or is it feasible for a competent person?
|
You really want a trained person doing something like this. Not saying you couldn't do it but there are some things to really figure out before hand. Like making sure the airspace is the same. The sides of the trunk are not the same on each side so making it all work takes some serious figuring out. 100+ hours were spent working on just the enclosures.
If you had never done something like this you should start small, just get an idea. |
Excellent work! Looks first class. How do they sound, beside the rattle? Get some grills on those babies. Looks like an accident waiting to happen.
|
ya I need to order some grills from JL, its over 100+ DB when it is turned up it hurts.. I mean it really hurts your ears.. and your whole body feels it.
|
That is one hell of an install!

I'm still chasing vibrations in a more modest system, but you'll have a few for a little while. Yours is as much art as sound. Very nice.
