Adding a sub??
I want to add a single sub to my factory bose stereo (non Nav). I dont want a ton of bass but I do want slightly more than i have now. My question is, what will I need to do it? is a single powered sub a better choice than a box/amp/sub? Can I even add one to my factory unit?. What will approximate cost be for either route? thanks for the help guys!

And BTW I tried searching and I have no idea what LOC's are or used for. Do I need an LOC if I use a powered sub?
|
A loc allows you to add a new amp to your system. You will need either a all in one sub which includes a amp inside the enclosure, or a separate amp and sub.
LOC could be a mtx re-q or something higher end like a MS8 "however this includes a lot of extra stuff. http://www.the370z.com/audio-video/4...bout-bose.html |
so a powered sub would be a decent option? and I wouldnt need a LOC?

Yes the kenwood all in one is a good option. Kenwood KSC-SW1 Powered enclosed subwoofer at Crutchfield.com |
Perfect, thats actually the one I was looking at. Bazooka tube not worth it?
|
Some will say yes, but in my over all experience with bazooka tubes. They are very Boomy with no real solid bass notes as you will get with the kenwood.

thats the exact kind of info i was looking for. E-Rep to you sir!
