I'm thinking of upgrading all the speakers plus sub and i'll stop........
|
Yeah I'm thinking that a sub upgrade might be all that would be needed. And that would be easy.

Thanks to all posters in this thread, as SQ is important to me.
I specifically held out for a loaded Touring w/ Sport and Nav.. because the car's without the OEM NAV I drove... looked empty with the hole there. Seemed to be pretty rare in the area too..but found one.. But I haven't really heard what the system sounds like too much yet. Picking it up today. I most likely will want to upgrade the Audio. ( Im a big radiohead fan - lots of complex tones, layered music ) reuinted's info.. looks very helpful. have to do some research to find the right installer / tuner in the Tampa Bay Area... because for sure... finding a craftsman is no simple task for anything anymore... if anyone knows of the real deal Audio peeps in Tampa Bay..please PM me.. |
If you want the real in tampa there are a few places to go. BLVD Customs does simply stunning work, Luke at the Audio Expert as well or Peter Ruiz up at SoundWaves

Sorry to bump an old post... I've been sitting on a FiX86 Digital Sound Processor for quite some time now; the DSP will allow me to replace all the speakers and add amplifiers to the existing factory headunit. I have already upgraded the factory Bose speakers (which aren't working) with Kicker and Audio Frog components, but in order to use my Alpine amplifiers and add a subwoofer, the DSP is vital. The tricky part is finding out which wires to tap into from the factory headunit to the DSP...
