Anyone have suggestions on brands / models? Also, do I need an AMP?
I have a Pioneer Nav/multimedia head unit (AVIC-Z110Bt). (Came with the car so i dont know much about it..like if its a good model or not). The manual says it has 22W*4 RMS and 50w * 4 Max power output.

Thanks in advance!
Search around for speaker advice threads there are plenty around here. I prefer polk for budget.

An amp would help the quality and how loud your new sepakers would be.

Always look at the RMS not the MAX more about that in this sticky thread.

Thanks for the info bigaudiofanat. Back in the mid to late 90's i was pretty knowledge about what was decent on the market..i use to run Xmax subs, phoenix gold amps, alpine speakers and HU. (let me guess,,,those brands probably all suck now)
...i havent ever considered upgrading car audio again until now. so i have no idea what brands or models of speakers or amps are good now a days.
thanks for your advice on Polk. ill check into them and continue my thread search.
