Advice on stock speaker replacement

The stock speakers are the worse I have ever seen in a vehicle. (and I have replaced many) I replaced my HU on the 3rd day of having my Z.

The stock speakers are the worse I have ever seen in a vehicle. (and I have replaced many) I replaced my HU on the 3rd day of having my Z. The stock speakers were distorted and could not handle the extra power. I replaced them the next week. In your case, I would change the speakers first as Ron Rizz stated then go from there.
