Installed focal coaxial 6.5" speakers in my door today. Cut out the stock tweets to see how it sounds and it great so far. Don't miss the tweets at all.

Also thinking about putting some 6x9's in behind the seats. What y'all think would be best?

I believe the general consensus is not to run rear speakers in the Z. I'm glad you posted about the coax's. I've been trying to decide between getting some HAT Imagines and running them in coax mode or getting the HAT Unity's as components.

Correct as said above, rear speakers in a z is not needed at all.

If you want more full sound get a set of focal's that are components and install the tweeter in the stock location.

A sub over 6x9's in the rear is the way to go.

With bigaudio here: no rear fill, and if you want to do it (say, surround applications down the road), I'd run a woof only or lowpass crossover a fullrange in the back.
