Default Help with problem

Hi-

Today, I noticed that my newly installed fronts with Fosgate 300-2 amp (Bose/nav LCI6) would cut out periodically. Once it happened, it would happen more frequently. The fronts would not cut out completely, just way lower in volume. Five seconds later, set volume would be restored. Two or three minutes later, same thing would happen. (This was the longest period of time that I drove the car -- about 1 hour)

Do you think this is the amp going into "limp" mode from overheating? (Volume was set at abot 75% or so.) Or is it some other problem?

Just trying to get some idea from you good folks before I talk to the installer with whom I've lost alot of confidence in.

Timely response most appreciated.

Bill
