Second rear clearance, I know that the 6.5's I have installed have never had trouble however this could change with a 7 inch woofer. Third is front face clearance. The opening of the plastic cover or door panel is just about 6.5 give or take. If he goes bigger the cone surround could hit the back of the door panel.

A mid in the tweeters stock location could be very very close. Right under the tweeters bracket about 1/4 inch down is plastic so I am not sure if you are going to have clearance for a mid.

If you are seriously going to do a 2 or even 3 way setup I would highly recommend going with either a audison bitone or the more popular option the JBL MS8.
