I have done a few 2 way setups "active" and yes there is a fair amount to tweak however the outcome is great. That is what you could use the MS8 or bit one for.

However you could do passive and just run the crossover that comes with the speakers out of the box.

I myself am getting ready to run a 3 way active setup in my altima. It is going to be some work however it will double as my demo car.

Wish you weren't on the opposite side of the country. I would love to check that out.

Do you have a list of amps, speakers, crossover, cables, etc yet?

Bringing this one back. Haven't done anything quite yet still deciding lol, too many choices. What do you pro's think of the placement in these pics:

I like the idea of the speaker in the door AC duct...

Now, if you look at the pillars behind the headreast's there is a mid tweet there... What do you guys think about that placement?

Thanks for the input...

the mids in the a/c duct is kinda cool, and probably would work well if crossed at the right freq. The mids and tweets next to the headrests.....absolutely not....all for show.

Thats kind of what I was thinking also, didn't really make sense. I wish there was a little more room up front for another set of mids. Oh well, thanks for the reply.

Yes I have thought about putting tweeters in the vents, however you block 40% if not more of your air for the cabin. You would just have floor and the center vents and defrost.

Wouldnt it just divert more air to the center vents? I wouldn't think it would max them, but maybe? Ah well still on the search lol.

What kind of ideas did you have for fiberglass molding big?

Depending on what speaker you are running and what kind of sound processing you are doing, I myself am going to run my KRX3's off axis because the tweeters are not as harsh as say the polyglass line or other tweeters. I also will be running them active to give me a clear center front stage. The mid and tweeter will be on the a pillar. I know the Z has airbags located there, however you could also build up from the base of the stock tweeter locations and aim them however you would like. Another option is flush mount them in the doors, or the mirror cover you could build off that as well.

If I was you, I would use tape and mount the tweeters at different locations to give you an idea of what they will sound like. This way your not wasting time with building a pod for them.
