Need advice, please

Hi-

I just wrote a lengthy post that disappeared into the ether.

Now, for the shorter version:

I have a 2012 touring, sport and nav coupe.

I have a Rockford Fosgate Punch 300-2 amp with Audio Control LC6I converter powering Rockford Fosgate T2 component speakers up front.

Of course, now the bass stinks. What is the best way to upgrade the subs. Go with RF Punch 8" sub woofers (two I assume) or something else. Will the existing Bose "enclosure" handle these or any other w/o buzzing, vibrating, etc.? Do I swap out the RF amp for a more powerful RF multi-channel amp or do I get a RF PBR monoblock?

I am 62 years old and prefer accuracy and correct bass levels as opposed to something to something which would loosen my fillings.

(If important to know, I also had the hatch, doors, and wheel wells dynomatted.)

Suggestions appreciated.

The longer post stated how I got here.

I'm serious about HOME audio (WAY beyond the lunatic fringe).

I wasn't going to touch the sound system even though the stock touring is pretty bad. But since I was going to have the car dynamatted, I thought I would upgrade the fronts as part of this work. My logic here was if the mids and highs aren't right, the subs wouldn't matter. So I did the low cost upgrade just to make to make driving more enjoyable.

Of course, as soon as I had the fronts done (today) which sound fine (its a car), the deficiencies of the subs became even more apparent.

The shop is willing to take back the two channel amp if I go more power and multi-channel. Or will do the mini-Fosgate mono amp. Which approach is better?

And what about the subs themselves? Swap out the Bose and stay with Fosgate which is my inclination (common sonic characteristics to the Fosgates up front) or something else entirely. When I looked at the sub enclosure at the shop today I wondered whether this "enclosure" could actually take two "real" speakers whether they be Fosgate or not.

Maybe this clarification helps.
