what are some good in car security camera?

hello guys. :tiphat:
I want to put some good 360 degree in car security camera because someone is keep trying to f$cking with me and steeling my lug nuts. so far 3 were missing and I just found out that on my rear rim on the passenger side 3 lug nuts are stolen and 2 were left. Is there good brand of camera that can catch in like 360 degree views? (not that expensive ones) Thank you

Living in an apartment I presume? I would setup a camera from the apartment window that would record the car 24/7. Short of doing that, I would invest in an aftermarket alarm to detect this sort of mischief.

yes I am living in an apartment. :) but it's like my apartment has basement garage..so I can't do that :(

Get a good 2-way alarm with a tilt sensor and radar sensor. Add a Harbor Freight air horn kit to the siren output. The air horns will be LOUD especially in a parking garage. The tilt and radar sensors will trigger the alarm when someone tries to jack the car up or gets too close, respectively. The pager will alert you whenever someone triggers the alarm.

That sucks bro. Maybe you can team up with a friend to plan a good ol' fashioned stakeout.

that's very good idea my friend. the problem is, my parking deck is pretty far from my home, like good 3min walk. I really appreciate your solution but! I want to see who the f$ck it is and f$ck him up :) also video gives me an inevitable evidence :happydance:

get teh good alarm and then do this /\. that's what I would do anyway.

Are there cctv in the place where you park, if so, you could see about reviewing the security footage.

dudesky 01-05-2012 05:51 PM

there is only cameras facing entrance and exit doors. so my car is not on camera :(

They sell wireless cameras, but I'm not sure where you would get one that can record and has a motion sensor. Only thing I can think of are those hidden Nanny cams or a baby monitor. I dunno, I would just set up a trap and catch those fkers! Also, start looking around your area for anyone with you missing lugs. If all else fails, buy 4 sets of locking lugs.

my guess, baring the OP has some psycho ex who wants him to have an "accident", is just some dumb *** kids messing with people. Or someone wants the OP's wheels but keeps getting interrupted every time he/they try to steal them.

Probably just a$$hat kids.

I agree with the stakeout idea...take a baseball bat...if your car has dark tint sleep in it.

NickTurnon 01-05-2012 07:31 PM

Buy a VIPER Alarm. Worth the $300 bucks... I had one on my old car. Someone hit my car and it shows where they hit your car on your keyfob. You can also remote start the car.. I have put alot of sound equiptment in my car and sometimes tint alone doesnt keep people away.

You don't have to get VIPER. Its expensive, but AUTOPAGE or one of the other decent companies should do fine. But get the one with proximity sensors...

haha. thank you guys. Stakeout idea is so funny hehe :) I wish that f$cker would just steal the rim or something not leaving only 2 lug nuts and I get f$ck up in a highway...sigh...I wish I can hire an invisible ninja or dark templer(from starcraft if you know) to catch the motherf$cker :)
