Ipod hookup

I just bought an 09 sport\touring with nav and discovered that I cannot plug my ipod in without a special cord from nissan. I've tried to do some research, but am still a bit confused on what is the best bang for my money. I really don't want to spend over $100 on a cord just to listen to music through my itouch. Any suggestions on something I can buy that will allow me to play music and videos? Thanks for the help.

Thanks for the help, is there anything that allow me to just play the music, not really wanting to spend that much cash.

You can buy the auxilery cable that plugs into you headphone jack on your phone. You just have to locate the aux input. I have a NISMO and mine is on the front of my radio. I don't know where your would be. Try either the glovebox or the center console. You might want to see if you stereo has bluetooth. If so... all problems are solved.

I have same set-up (2009 Navigation). Got my cable from the dealer for $30. If you have a latter generation I-touch you will need an adapter ($20 from Amazon) in order for the Ipod to charge as you play it.

You can get the Cable from Courtesy for $27.95:

Here is the adapter:

You have all been very helpful, looks like buying the cord for $27-30 is my best bet, thanks again for the help everyone.

I may be overlooking something here but my 10 has factory navi and I have a direct plug in my center console. I just plug my itouch in there and have control of my itouch on my navi screen.

Nissan got with the program in 10. It is USB correct? (They used a proprietary cable on the 09.)

Ah. Guess I lucked out then.
