370Z Dash Kit

I noticed that both Metra and Scosche make dash kits for the Z. Is one a better quality than the other?

Metra is the better one

Thanks for the info and Merry Christmas to you!

Not finding this info anywhere (which probably makes my google skills look pretty bad), but everything seems to say the 2009 Metra kit works for 2010, but nothing mentions 2011 or 2012. Should the same kit work, or were there changes in 2011/12? Thx!

is yours the base stereo that looks like the 09-10? if so you shouldnt even need a dash kit. :)

As long as the dash has not taken a huge change sense I have seen it, they will be the same until they change the model. vidroth, you should be ok with using it,

I did not use the dash kit that came with my AVIC 930. It looked fine without it. I posted pics of it in here.

Depends on the HU... my P3300BT looked awful with just the base bezel. Gap on the sides was big enough that you could see the silver metal frame.

bigaudiofanat 02-01-2012 07:33 PM

Ya pioneers usually have a gap around them if you do not use the aftermarket dash kit.

jaycz 02-01-2012 07:56 PM

If you have a Touring model you need the dash kit. Some people get by with the Base model.

i have a 2010 370z with base head unit. do i need a dash kit if i upgrade to an after market navigation system?? the tech at best buy said i did but i dont think he knows more that the members here that already upgraded their head unit.

You can do it with or without the dash kit. All depends on if you want a gap or not.

Pioneer will have a bigger gap than a kenwood or alpine.
