BOSE Audio System Upgrade
Hi Guys,
After a bit of advice, Being someone that always wants just that little bit more I'd like to upgrade my BOSE stock sound system. I currently have the stock NAV unit as well so i'd like to keep the head unit stock. I'm happy with the level of bass as well coming from the subs, so all im really looking at wanting to do is put in a new pair of splits and a amp. What splits are hot these days? Could I use a amp like a Focal Solid 2 without needing any high -> low level converters? Happy to spend about $1000-$1500 all up, but spending that much money I really want to see some results. Is it even worth upgrading? I know in the doors I have 6x9's. Any help would be great! Thanks in advance. |
Theres a sticky that Matt (Bigaudiofan) has posted, I'd check that out, some good info there.

You will still need a converter to go into your amp unless you find the low input signals going to the bose amp and tap them going into a set of rca's. Use an adapter and buy a good set of 6.5 components like the Hertz HSK165 or Mb quarts, the ID Q series are nice as well. Just fair warning any new set of speakers will put out more bass than your bose sub so be prepared to possibly upgrade that at a later date.
