Default 12v power socket + iPhone compatibility

Hi all,

I am a new 370Z owner, the car should arrive in a few days!
I just have a question, something I forgot to check. I have the navigation pack, I read there is bluetooth support for the iPhone but what about AUX in and USB charging?

Can you also tell me where the 12v power socket(s) are located? If you manage to get a picture that would be great.

Thanks!

(i have a 2009 touring w nav) In the center console is a connector for the iPod/iPhone. It is a Nissan specific part so you will need to purchase if your car doesn't come with it as an option.

Once you plug it in you can then control the iPod from the nav screen.

The 12v outlet is in the console as well. There is a spare one near the passenger left foot well.

On my 2009 Bluetooth doesn't allow you to play music just use phone. The Bluetooth is quite good IMHO for placing calls including voice commands. I like it better than the system I had on my X5.

Hope this helps

Hi,

I plugged for the first time my USB adapter to charge my iPhone but it didn't work.
I also tried the spare one near the passenger seat, same problem. Is there any reason why this wouldn't work?

I know the charger itself is working, I tried it in another car.
Thanks.

I've seen aftermarket usb cords not work.

For instance, In the last two Ford Raptors I've owned with Ford Sync, my Iphone would not charge via USB unless I used the original cable that came with the phone. Sucks... it must have some extra pins or something.

Who know's if all the aftermarket cables are the same...

This is a long shot, but other members have had wonky electrical issues with this:

As a precaution, just check to see if this is engaged fully. Maybe the switch cuts power to the 12v sockets.

Thanks, I'll try again but I'm almost 100% sure the USB cable is the one from my iPhone box.
@Asltann checking the link, thank you.
