Pioneer AVIC-X930BT questions

It might be good to fish the wires using either fish tape or a clothes hanger. That would probably save you some time

Im taking it to a place to get done, even though i have a pretty good background in electronics through the Air Force. I just dont like doing fitment and putting the stuff back together to look like factory. No patients...

I heard that bro, I like working on my own stuff though, although a helping hand is always nice, and 2 brains are better than 1..

I like it,pretty fast to turn on and get a position fix. The screens and interface are pretty good. I figured out how to use them without reading the manual. I'm still learning some of the features. I printed out the pdf manual that came on the CD and have a copy of it in my car as a reference till I learn the whole thing. I plan to play with the bluetooth this weekend and I also downloaded the Pandora and Aha internet radio apps for my iphone to get that going too as audio sources via the USB cable interface. At some point I'll add the rear view camera.

Nice! I was thinking about the rear camera too! I just really needed something that had GPS in in, cant stand having one stuck to my window blocking half of my view... Got it all ordered, but have to wait till christmas to open it :-(

Just came in the other day! So excited to get it installed... Having second thoughts about paying someone to do it. I have the skills and the time to do it right, just need someone to give me a push. So talk me into it, push away!

It all comes apart with a Phillips screwdriver, a butter knife taped up, a soldering iron, heat shrink, painters tape to be sure you dont scratch things, and time. Only problem I has was my constant 12 volt power in the oem harness was not working. But I jump around it.

Oh, i could see how that would be an issue. I have the electronics background, but pretty much 0 exp. with car audio... Im pretty sure i can figure it out if a decent wiring diagram is provided with the unit

Its pretty easy man, the install guide that comes with the deck outlines it for you. Good luck bro.
