Satellite Antenna Location

Those of you who've installed, where is a good spot to put the Sat radio antenna? Top of dash? Underneath?

Mine is on the dash under the windshield on the center space between the defrost vents. It is XM and gets a good signal. The installer said Sirius doesn't have as strong (possibly a lower angle) signal as XM and might not work from the inside like XM does.

Sirius is what I have. Has anyone mounted a Sirius antenna on the dash and have it work fine?

I thought Sirius and XM are one company now?
