If I were having such trouble, the first thing I'd do would be to pull all the stuff out of the hatch floor and line it and the outside of the wheel wells with some 1/2 inch foam.

You must have better roads in the midwest, because I have the same setup, and use it for the same situations. But Siri and anyone I am talking to always complain about road noise. Unless, I am going under 45mph or am on a very smooth road. Going to look into Dynomatting this thing soon.
