About getting a new z need advice on HU
Hi everyone,
I'm about to pull the trigger on a 12 Z and in the process of looking for a HU to replace the factory HU. After reading the audio section for more than 2 days, I found that most has a navi unit, and that Kenwood is also highly recommended, I'm also a little smarter about car stereo but still far from finding one that meet my needs: - Back up camera video/ Front camera inputs. - Good stereo for classical music - Good radio sound quality, AM/FM/ Sirius/HD - ABOSOLUTE NO integrated navigation (Will use iPad for this, I like being able to enter addresses prior to getting to the car) - Responsive and precise touch screen. - friendly GUI, easy to use, good font/graphics and colors. - Iphone/Ipad input and controls. - Double DIN. - Blue tooth I know a lot of people here have already went thru this process and would really appreciate your recommendations. I plan to have alarm system installed immediately driving the car out the lot, should I have it both alarm/stereo systems done at the same time ? Will it save me any money or time? Cheers |
Please please please search about the head unit !!!!
Alarm the viper 5901 is a nice one however that has remote start as well, is that something you were looking at using as well? You can always buy one with remote start and not have that part be used. Or in the future if you change you mind. If not the 3203 is nice if you want the screen 3303 is your choice. |
Matt (bigaudiofanat) doesnt praise Pioneer...:bowrofl::bowrofl:

I did the search, the results though were not conclusive. I am hoping someone having the same needs as mine but have not posted their systems on the forum. I ve read your many helpful posts as well. Any recommendation as to a dd hu that doesnt have navi?
Mine will be a manual trans so Im not using the remote start feature but i do like the lcd screen of the 5901. @east yea, i hear you. Have read amazon reviews and Pionneer doesnt have good mark. |

So what do you think about the Alpine CDA 117 for $350? |
This looks perfect for me, 3 sets of 4V RCAs and iPod integration.

This one will work as well
