Head unit

Hello guys :hello:

I just wanna know the best HU available that can show both front and back's backup camera, with navigation, pandora and iphone sync so i can make calls without touching my phone

Kenwood DNX9980. I have the 9960 and it's sweet.
Voice activation, Bluetooth streaming, Pandora interface, two cameras possible, Garmin nav. There is also an extra accessory that you plug into your OBDII port that streams engine info to the HU. With another optional cable, you can connect two iPods.

You can make calls by touching one button. It's also voice-activation capable.

Contact WickedCAS who is a sponsor on here. Tell Nazar I (Brian Murphy) sent you. Don't be fooled by the price in this link. Since it's been out for awhile, you can most likely do better.

Not sure. This Kenwood is a beast. There are quite a few other good ones, but I'm not sure there's another with all of the goodies.

The only way you are going to do front view is if you select the video input and you will not be able to play music while viewing it. The alternative is to add a second monitor in your cubby that you can dedicate to a camera. Also make sure that the camera is not going to reverse the image as this will confuse you if using it for a front camera.

In other words make sure that the camera is not a reverse camera.

Thanks for chiming in big! so you're saying i have to get the actual front view camera? does kenwood cmos 300/200 qualifies? and as for the monitor, can you suggest any? im already set on the 9980 HD btw..

If the camera says reverse camera chances are that no it would not work, I know that the head units have setting that allow you to change how the image apearse however last time I tried that with a customer the left objects were on the right of the screen and the right objects were on the left of the screen. I do not know of any cameras that would work maybe someone else has tried this?

Any monitor would work as long as it has a video input "9 out of 10 of them do"

my hu has the option to mirror the image so that way you can use the camera on the front or on the back.

ya that is one of the features we tried when I tried doing a front facing camera. It didn't work out as planned.
