Default Pes Wiac Resistor

So I managed to break the 150 ohm resistor and the tech service I spoke with said that I could purchase the resistor at a radio shack. When I was comparing the sizes it appears that the one one that came with unit was a 1/4 watt resistor and all i could find at the radio shack was a 1/8 watt 150 ohm resistor. Does anyone see any problems if I were to use this resistor. I am thinking that it won't work but really am not sure.

Thanks,
David

You can go bigger, but you shouldn't go smaller as it may cook it. You should get a 1/4 or 1/2 watt resistor. RS should have some 1/4 watt resistors in select values or can order them for you.

Hey guys....I can't quite seem to get this to work. When all I can think is that I have the wrong wires hooked up to the resistor. When I try to program the buttons the first button with turn of the red light.... but when i let go of the button it does not come back on.... From the factory harness I have the 47 ohm resistor going to the purple wire pin 6 and the 150 ohm resistor going to the blue wire pin 16 and both resistors going to the white wire. I cut the one loop and insulated both ends with electrical tap and have grounded the black wire and connected the red one with the other red wires. I have also connected the blue and yellow wire with the one to the unit.

Are you suppose to unplug the harness from the unit when you program the buttons? Any suggestions would be appreciated very much. The only other thing i can think of is that i didn't actually get a 150 ohm resistor but i'm quite certain it is.

Default Pac-Swi-Jack Wiring

Did you ground the brown wire on pin 15 of the factory harness?

Nope it's coming from the steering wheel control, directly from the switch. It has to be cut and ground. Hope that fixes things.
