Amp Wiring Path

OK. I'm close to starting my install--component speakers, new head unit, amp and sub--and I've got most everything figured out but how to run the wires from the cabin to the rear hatch where the amp sits. If I run down the sides, where is the best place to get through the rear sheet metal to the area underneath/behind the strut bar? I'm not sure if I'm drilling or looking for an existing hole, and where. Help.

Dude I just did mine today. If you remove all the mats from the trunk there is this piece of foam that runs the width of the car. Wiggle it out and it's PERFECT!! It's open to the center console, which comes straight out i think it's has 4 screws in it. This car is made to mod, dude. I'll post some pics in the morning. I also ran the RCAs for the speakers and the sub through the center console straight to the amp. I his my crossover behind the kick panels and the crossover wires straight behind the dash and the steering wheel on each given side.. I ran everything related to the head unit through the center console, it's perfect and you don have to pull your carpet out!!!! Work smarter, NOT harder!!!! If I can be of any help, shoot me a line

So the center console is open to the back? Excellent. That's better yet.

I run my main power wire under the car. I wire loom the 4 guage wire and use lots of electrical tape for added protection and zip tie it along the frame and then drill through the underside of the car where I need it to penetrate into the car. This way I dont have to take the entire interior out and I get better isolation. Speaker wire, RCA and other wiring is either routed through the center console or under the door kicks.

I ran my power wire along the passenger side floor under the carpet yet again if you remove that little carpeted ledge in front of the manual holder you can see to the passenger floor

The only whole needed to be drilled for wire to pass thru would be from power thru the fire wall!
