Default Australia 2010 Roadster

Hi All,

I thought I'd ask to the experts in here.

I am located in Australia and have the Australian 2010 Roadster. This comes with the Nav Unit and Bose system etc.

Now when I looked into getting the dvd bypass etc I found out that we actually have the 2009 version of the indash system.

This is similar to what my console looks like:

Its definitely not this as seen in some of the mods that you have done in various threads on this forums:

Ok the bits that I don't like about this stock unit are:

1. Bluetooth - cannot play audio from phone
2. Bluetooth - cannot sync phone book automatically. Have to send one contact at a time! Thats pathetic!
3. Not be able to use the bypass kit for dvd/camera
4. No digital radio
5. Can integrate reverse cam but the grid lines are fixed as oppose to move with the steering column.
6. Navigation can certainly be better.

So what I am looking for is your expert advise on a unit that will be easy to install and have all of the above features and works with the steering controls + controls on the dash as seen in the picture.

I am happy to keep the speakers etc as is.

Is this do able? Or with this new layout its not possible?

Please help.

if you want to change out the stock HU and Nav it can get pricy, you need all the dash parts and heater controls from one like in your last pic...

None that i've seen. I would start with sourcing stock dash parts, and heater controls.
