I had a shop install the amp (they talked me into getting the Rockford Fosgate PBR300X1). I ordered a 10" box from zenclosures.com which should be on it's way shortly. Will this amp be enough for one good 10" sub? If so, which sub would be recommended? Preferably something with some red on it, as I would like it to fit in with the color scheme of the 40th.

The re-q is find for adding a sub to your system and just the re-q no need for the re-q5 unless you are adding speakers later on.

As for the audio control, that is a lot more tuning than is needed for a sub install. Plus the re-q is way better than using just a crappy LOC. So IMO OP the re-q will work nicely without any problems and will be easier to operate and install.

As for 1 10 that is fine for blending with the bose system if you go with two you may over power yourself with bass and may end up having to upgrade your speakers because of it.

Is it best to choose subs with an impedence of 4ohm? Or does it matter?

The ReQ is NOT the best answer, and the LC2i is simple to set up, Remember i do work for the company that OWNS ReQ, and i'm still telling you the Audio Control peice is better, and easy to set up. There is a reason the ReQ has been drop from the Canadian market, and i believe the US now too.

Very cool amp, so damn small, size wise, but for that amp to make power you need to end up with a 1 Ohm load and get the PEQ for it also. It will come in very handy adding a sub to the stock set up.

So with this amp I would basically have to shop around for a 1ohm sub? If I buy a 4ohm sub, how can I end up with a 1ohm load? Sorry, I'm new to this.

Rockford Fosgate T0D210 Power T0 10" subwoofer with selectable 1- or 4-ohm impedance at Crutchfield.com

I was looking at this sub. Would my amp have enough power to push it?

On that one you can select it on Dual voice coil models you would have to wire the sub a certain way.

Just make sure your amp is 1 ohm stable or else you can damage it.

You need to remember people that work for manufactures, may have better info then you, and should be listen to when they are giving you inside info.
Yes there will be, but the REq is not the best opition is been discontinued, because we had too many problems with it. it has nothing to do with anything else, as for the LC2i, it's a few bucks cheaper then the ReQ was.

As for that RF amp, it's 1 ohm stable, and that is where it makes the rated 300 watts.
