Default change from 2v to 4v pre-out?

is there a way i can up my pre-out voltage running to my factory bose amp? i have a pioneer x710bt, and it has the crappy 2v pre-out. i love the system itself, but WOW did it reduce the sound when hooked (properly) into the bose system. is there a way to remedy this?

can the bose amp be adjusted to be louder at all on the amp itself?

can i replace the bose amp with a higher watt aftermarket to compensate?

is there an add-on or anything of that nature i can add to my stereo to get it back to 4v?

or.........am i just going to have to replace the headunit entirely? the stereo was absolutely amazing before, now, it sounds about half as loud, VERY unimpressed.

That's what I was thinking if they make such an animal... otherwise I'd probably just replace the head unit (knowing that "just" replacing it is expensive but all I would trust to work properly).

No, not a speaker to line level, there are RCA in and RCA outs with 9.5 volt output that you can get. These are about 150.

I would not recommend any of this and just do it right with a new head unit.

agreed with bigaudio..dont try to boost the pre-out voltage. id suggest replacing the factory amp with a real amp that has adjustable gains. then get a multimeter and adjust the gains properly.

Default adjust bose amp

is there a way to adjust the factory bose amp to make it louder? i put in a pioneer nav with 2v pre-outs and the system is nowhere near as loud as before with the factory 4v.

Default compensate for 2v pre-outs?

my pioneer nav system has only 2v pre-outs, and i really don't want to replace the headunit (i like it). the loudness on my stereo has gone down the drain though when it went from 4v factory to the pioneer's 2v's.

i have heard that i could install a line driver such as this and it would compensate for that:

OverDrive PLUS Line Driver with Input for Remote Level Control

does anyone have something like this installed? or can anyone tell me how this works, and how it's installed?

i don't want to buy subs, or change from the bose setup, or replace my headunit. whatever options that leaves me with to get my loudness back up, i'm all ears!

Why are you creating so many threads asking the same thing. We have advised you to get a new head unit, I would stay away from anything that boosts pre out signals.
