They say it was just programming. Note that the wire colors didn't match between the instructions and my car, so I wired to the pin locations indicated and that worked. Last weekend I installed the same PAC on wife's STi and I noticed that I did in fact goof up the programming. (I just didn't press the program button to skip a function!) My conclusion is that they work fine, but are not simple for us beginners and the instructions blow chunks.
