If this has been covered in another thread, I apologize. The tech is suggesting to put the antenna on roof, but right above the windshield. I've only seen after market

Sirius Antenna location
If this has been covered in another thread, I apologize. The tech is suggesting to put the antenna on roof, but right above the windshield. I've only seen after market antennas placed right above the the rear window...in this case the hatch. He told me that the gap between the hatch and the roof is so narrow that when opening and closing it, he is concerned that the wire may be punched and cut. Is that a legit reason, or is he just being lazy? Thanks fellas!
