Get yourself a nice Rockford Fosgate Punch amp, and Rockford Fosgate 12" Sub in a Zenclosures box

You in Washington, or Washington DC ?

The thing is, it seems like the zenclosure box takes up a lot of space.. I just want a sub that can pound hard yet remain small enough that it wont take up too much space.

I'm from Washington state.

If your going to run a sub with it you have to make sure the amp can run at 3 channels which i do not think the kenwood can. Also you have to make sure the ohms of the sub is going to be ok with a bridged channel. Most 4 channel amps are made to run bridged at 2 channels not 3 channels.

From the looks of it, I think the amp can do 3 channels.

From Crutchfield : "You can bridge the rear channels to drive a subwoofer, while the front channels power your full-range speakers. The built-in high- and low-pass filters let you tailor the amp's output so you can dial in the best possible performance for the speakers in your vehicle."

Than it will work just make sure your end load is 4 ohms for that sub. I still recommend the alpine as it has a dedicated sub channel.

Isn't that kind of a waste since the Z has only 2 front speakers? It doesn't have any rear ones. And the amp has 5 channels.

Not at all you can bridge the 4 channels to two and put out 120 watts to the fronts and have a dedicated channel to your sub. Done it in plenty of installs.
