Default Lots of toys showing up lately....

So like the title says, ive had a bunch of stuff showin up over the past week and as of today the final package has arrived, i havent set up a day to have it all done yet but i am waiting on a quote from Performance Audio Electronics of Smithtown.

I'm excited to have a system again in my car, i havent had one in over 5 years. Ill take any input on any of the items i have as long as its contructive. Ive heard plenty of good things about this pioneer head unit, i had a pioneer premier headunit controlling my last system, this one just seems like its come 10 times further since then.

ill post final product photos in the next week or 2.

Yeah the hifonics is for the ids and the jls, why? Something wrong with it? Im not looking to deffen myself just for a little extra noise haha

also im 99% sure theyll fit but do you think those jl's are fine depth wise for the rear?

The ID's will work fine as long as you have the spacers for them. Im just a bit concerned about using a hifonics amp with the ID's. Yes it will work and yes it will be loud however if you want the clarity they can offer I would recommend stepping up to something like a alpine or boston acoustic amp, maybe even a audison amp if you can grab one. Just my opinion from running and installing those ID's over the years.

I usually see hifonics amps used to power subs even though they make speaker amps. Not here to offend.

As far as rears I would not know none of my customers wanted rears. I do not recommend them in a z. Hopefully someone else can help out. Make sure to run all new speaker wires!

completely understand, i was looking for some input, my friend doug actually recommended an alpine amp i believe but it was out of my range, he recommended the hifonics as a cheaper alternative since itll still give me some pretty good clarity and volume. i trust his judgement 100% on this stuff but i still like to hear what others have to say. He's had like 21 systems in the last 5 years, currently working on 22 lol always going for bigger better and louder. I have an old phoenix gold 5.04 octane R sitting in my garage but i dont thing it works any more, i was originally going to use that

You will need to buy the metra axxess, cut three wires from the factory harness wire them into the device and than do the manual program. It is easy just fallow the instructions. If you need more help there is a thread here about it.

ok excellent, ill ask to have that done for sure. also i got the rux knob for the alpine amp so i dont always have to boom. is the rux knob able to be disassembled and somehow installed on one of my blank switch spots on the center console? or is there a good clean location to put it somewhere else?

I can't remember what it looks like, but most of the time yeah. as for location i think the spot i would put it is between the heated seats switches.

Be careful with the knob. I know I do not recommend them. First off because once a system is "tuned" it usually sounds pretty solid. I know some knobs on lower end amps will bypass the gain knob on the amp. I do not think the alpine does this but just keep in mind keep your bass boost off your loud off and your sub level flat when running and even after setup to help from clipping your signal or your speakers, your sub can clip if it gets a clipped signal.

will do! thanks for all the input bud! much appreciated, ill be sure to check on the knobs functionality, i really just want it so i can turn down to boost if im not feeling the boom from time to time. i had this on my kenwood amp that powered my old alpine R's a long time ago. It was pleasant to turn to boost down from time to time.
