Side View Camera
 

Anyone know where I could get the side view mirrors with cameras? I heard that the 2010 Nav unit can accept a video feed from them that is shown when you use your directional signals? is this true?

There's a Kenwood CMOS 300 gives you multiple views I believe...

I think you can however you will only be able to see one at a time unless the newer models do a split screen.

How do I set it up or test it?? What cars does Nissan have this feature actually working on?

The Kenwood camera gives you multiple views as in it will also be used for side views?

Has anyone played witht eh settings for side camera in their 2010 navi?

I do not think any car except maybe really high end suv's have that feature its more of a toy than for real IMO

My wifes FX 35 does the split view.

my uncle's skyline coupe (G37C) had this factory option on his passenger side mirror (which is the left mirror in japan). was actually pretty useful when we went out to the touge. he had to get the car like 2" from the guard rail and back up at times to let cars pass coming from the opposite direction as the roads are pretty much 1 lane in most areas up there. :) since the rail is lower than the side mirror it's difficult to see where your car is especially on a big coupe like the G.

i wouldn't mind having it on my cars if i bought the nav option.

yah, it was on like the bottom neck part of the side mirror base.

not sure about this option for the Z's. too lazy to read through the fairlady catalog i have somewhere from a nissan dealership in japan. :D hahaha.

Oh man I would love to find some of those and add them to my Z. If you ever feel like looking through that catalog please let me know what you find!!

So does this camera mean we can remove the big a$$ side mirrors?
