Default Polk db6501 help!

I recently installed the polk components and after getting the car back from the body shop, the drivers side has a buzz/vibrate on certain frequencies. I cant tell if its the speaker or door panel. it doesnt sound quite like distortion.

Also, i used the speaker wires that came with the polks to wire the speakers to the xover and new wire for the rest, while tapping into the factory wiring the rest since i still have the stock HU

any ideas as to what the buzz could be? its very irritating.

Can you tell if its from the woofer on the door or the tweeter in the dash? I know when I installed my DXi6500's I had to wire in some bass blockers to the tweeters because they would distort at higher volumes.

pull off the door panel and play them, and see if anything looks like it could be causing the buzzing.

Sounds like either someone blew your woofer OR someone rewired the speakers the wrong way. Maybe when they were working on the car? Also keep in mind that the base system is only putting out around 5-8 watts of power so listening to them to loud with distortion can damage the speakers.

You will not need a bass blocker for component speakers that are wired to their correct crossover block.

i noticed this morning that the drivers side tweeter crackles under low volume. I hope these f**** didnt blow my speakers. if i have time today, im going to take the panel off to check the wiring. I know when it was in the shop they had to take thw windows out so maybe has to take the speakers out too.
